The subject of tithing seems to be one of the most controversial and argumentative topics amongst Spirit filled Christians and even the Ministers of the Gospel.
Hence. tithers seem to have problems with understanding the phrase, "trying or proving God." Yet. bachan, the Hebrew word used in Malachi 3:10. can mean. to try, test. or prove. So. the translators who either used try. test, or prove. are grammatically correct.

That means. God (The Potter) has given mankind (clay) the only opportunity to test Him — in tithing, to enable Him release heavenly blessings upon them. Unfortunately. abuse of that opportunity and spiritual privilege results in robbery with its accompanying curses.
The aim of the author is to see you redeemed from curses to blessings. from a reproach to a delightsome person
